New Caledonia: a "historic" agreement signed by pro-independence and non-pro-independence supporters

The political forces of New Caledonia have been meeting since July 2 in Bougival, in the Yvelines, to try to chart an institutional future for the territory.
Meeting for ten days near Paris to try to chart an institutional future for New Caledonia, the State and the political forces of the overseas territory signed a "historic" agreement this Saturday, July 12, announced several participants at the summit.
"A historic agreement has been signed," the non-independence Loyalists and the Rally said in a statement.
The details of this agreement, reached after a final night of negotiations in Bougival, in the Yvelines, where they had been meeting since July 2, are not yet known.
